different. When the unit is paused, and searching is

CUE

key will flash. Pressing the

CUE

key will store

the current position as the cue point.

(see 4.10, “Memories”)

The cue point cannot be updated during A-B LOOP
play.

3.3.2

Auto Cue

The auto cue function allows searching the track and
auto-locating to the point where the audio level first
goes above a set threshold level. When this point is
reached, the unit enters pause mode.

Select the threshold level can be selected from:

When the auto cue function is on, the

Cueing using the JOG dial

You can directly cue to any point using the

JOG

dial

by frame accuracy, while the unit is in pause mode.

You can select the resolution of the dial so that one
rotation of the dial is equivalent to either 9, 18, or 36
frames.

Cueing using the SEARCH keys

You can also cue to frame accuracy, using the

SEARCH

keys to locate the playback point while the

unit is in pause mode.

3.3.5

Cueing using the numeric keys

You can also cue to any point using the numeric
keys.

The keys are used to enter the following values in
order: track number, minutes, seconds and frames.

When you have entered the value, press the

PLAY/PAUSE

key. The unit starts playback

from the input point.

If all the values are not entered, the other values are
set to zero. For example, if you only enter the track
number, minutes and seconds, the frames field will
be set to

00

, which means that the playback will start

from the exact start of that second.

If you make an entry containing a mistake, the dis-
play blinks to show this.

Use the

CLEAR

key to clear and cancel entries con-

taining mistakes.

3.4.1

Selecting the loop mode

3 loop modes are available, as shown on the display:

ALL

—the whole

SINGLE

—a single track is repeated

A-B

—between two points
