Network Print Kit

The Network Print Kit is an optional package that enables your machine to
operate as a network printer via local Area Networks (LAN’s). When the
Network Print Kit is installed and the machine connected via an Ethernet
LAN, computers in a network can use the fax machine as a printer.

Compatibility

The Network Print Kit provides open-system compatibility. The following
network operating systems and protocols are supported:

Novell:

NetWare 3.x; NetWare 4.0 and 4.11 (NDS); Nprinter and Qserver.

Microsoft:

Windows NT 4.0 (lpr); Windows 95, 98 (lpr).

Related LAN Options

When the Network Print Kit is installed in the facsimile transceiver, the
following functions will become activated and available for user access
through the machine menu (LAN Options): Automatic tray switching,
paper size check, LAN print timeout, IP address, subnet mask and default
gateway. Additionally, a report of the current Network Print Kit
configuration can be obtained by accessing Network Print Kit
Configuration under Report Print (see “Configuration” on page 7-4).
