Follow these steps to set the clock automatically.
1. Press
TV-VCR
on the remote control, or rotate
FUNCTION SELECTOR
to select the
VCR
function.
2. Press
SETUP/MENU
to view the VCR Setup Menu.
3. Use the arrow keys to select
CLOCK
and then press
ENTER/SET
.
4. Use the arrow keys to select
AUTO
and then press
ENTER/SET
.
5. Use the arrow keys to select each of the following, and then
press
ENTER/SET
to set your preference.
EDS Ch Set
EDS stands for Extended Data Services and refers to
information, such as the time and date, that is often broadcast
by local PBS stations.
Auto:
Select this option to allow the system to automatically
search for a channel that broadcasts the time in your area.
Manual:
Select if you know a local station that broadcasts the
time (usually PBS). See “EDS Ch” below.
EDS Ch:
If you set
EDS CH SET
to
Manual
, use d to select
EDS CH
and then use f and g to manually select a channel that
broadcasts the local time.
6. Press
ENTER/SET
to save and exit.
Setting the Clock Manually
If the Auto feature sets the clock incorrectly, you can set the clock
manually.
1. Press
TV-VCR
on the remote control, or rotate
FUNCTION SELECTOR
to select the
VCR
function.
2. Press
SETUP/MENU
to view the VCR Setup Menu.
3. Use the arrow keys to select
CLOCK
and then press
ENTER/SET
.
4. Use the arrow keys to select
MANUAL
, and then press
ENTER/SET
.
5. Use d and e or
0-9
keys to set the time, and then press g. Press
AM/PM
to select AM or PM.
6. Use d and e to set the date, and then press g.
7. Use d and e to set the year, and then press g.
8. Use d and e to set Daylight Savings Time (DST) on or off.
9. When finished, press
ENTER/SET
to save and exit.
Language
The Language menu allows you to set your preferred language for
the VCR setup menu and on-screen displays.
1. Press
TV-VCR
on the remote control, or rotate
FUNCTION SELECTOR
to select the
VCR
function.
2. Press
SETUP/MENU
to view the VCR Setup Menu.
3. Use the arrow keys to select
LANGUAGE
, and then press
ENTER/SET
.
4. Use the arrow keys to set the VCR menu language to
English
,
Espanol
or
Francais
.
5. Press
ENTER/SET
to save and exit.
