Tools Menu
You can use the Tools menu in EXPRESSBUILDER to start each of several
utilities.
Use the Tools menu to make settings that the setup program could not do
automatically or to make detailed settings. You can also use the Tools menu
when system diagnosis is to be performed or a support disk is to be created.
Utilities
The utilities in the Tools menu include the following.
Off-line Maintenance Utility
The Off-line Maintenance Utility analyzes the cause of a fault if it occurs. The
Utility features the following.
! IPMI Information Viewer
Provides a way to view and back up the system event log (SEL), sensor
data record (SDR), and field replaceable unit (FRU) information obtained
through the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
You can use this feature to obtain detailed information about system
errors and events.
! BIOS Setup Viewer
Displays and saves system BIOS setup values.
! System Information Viewer
Displays and saves processor, chassis, BIOS, etc. information.
! System Information Management
Saves and restores system NVRAM/ROM information.
System Diagnostics
Executes several tests on the server to examine system features and the
connections between the system and extension boards. The diagnostics require
about three minutes to execute. After reviewing the results, the system must be
rebooted.
