2-4 Windows 2000 Advanced Server Installation
Note:
If using computers that communicate with the
E
XPRESS
5800/ft Series server using TCP/IP protocols, you
must make several settings to the server to minimize
interruptions. See Appendix A, “Setting TCP/IP Protocols”
for information on making the settings.
Installing the Windows 2000 Advanced Server operating
system overwrites the contents of the server’s hard drive. If
you have data you want to keep, copy and store the data on
a network drive, tape drive, or other storage device.
Note:
If you are reinstalling Windows 2000 Advanced
Server on a system disk which has been mirrored, if possible
you should first use Disk Management under Computer
Management to break the mirror and revert the disk
mirroring the system disk to a basic disk.

drive.

software to the system. This takes about ten minutes.

the EXPRESSBUILDER CD from the CDROM drive AFTER pressing
