You can correct an error when you are entering your remote control code (RCC)

Changing the number of rings
You can change the number of times your telephone rings before your memo
recorder answers a call.

This is used when you call into your memo recorder by remote control (see Calling
into your memo recorder by remote control on page 19).
When
72// 6$9(5
is selected, you can tell if a new message has been received
since you last rang in.
If your memo recorder has received messages, it will answer on the third ring.
If no messages have been recorded, it will answer on the fifth ring.

If there are no messages, you can hang up after the fourth ring
and not pay for the call.
