The following conventions are used throughout this document.
Convention Translation
[ ] Square brackets represent an optional element.
{ } Braces represent a required entry.
| Vertical bar separates mutually exclusive elements.
Italics Entry is a variable to be supplied by the operator.
Bold Enter (type) as shown.
x.x.x.x 32-bit IP address and mask information where x is an
8-bit weighted decimal notation.
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx MAC address information where x is a hexadecimal
notation.
