Phone Settings
Keypad Autolock
The handset may be set to lock the keypad automatically when in
standby mode. The automatic locking function of the keypad may be
disabled (the default) or adjusted for a 5, 10 or 20-second delay before
locking.
Display Contrast
The display may need to be adjusted for different lighting situations.
Contrast may be set by pressing the up/down buttons on the side of
the handset or the
Nav
ef keys until the desired contrast is
displayed.
Use Hearing Aid
The handset speaker may be set for use with a hearing aid. Toggle to
set the desired option.
Startup Song Play/Inhibit
When the handset is powered up, a series of tones sounds. The
Startup Song is enabled by default.
Predial
Enabling Predial allows the user to enter a phone number and then
press the
START
key to initiate the call. If Predial is disabled in the
Config
menu, speed dial calls cannot be made from standby mode.
Predial must be enabled if you wish to use the
Redial
feature. See
