Understanding the indicators
Base unit line buttons
The line buttons ({LINE1}, {LINE2}) show the status of each line as follows.
Base unit CELLULAR SELECT button ({1} to {5})
The CELLULAR SELECT button ({1} to {5}) shows the status as follows.
Status
Meaning
Light off
The line is available.
Light on
The line is in use.
Flashing rapidly
A call is being received.
Flashing
A call is put on hold or the answering system is answering a
call.
Status
Meaning
Light off
A cellular phone is either not registered or registered but not
connected to the base unit (page 59, 60)
Yellow-green
The cellular phone is connected and the cellular line is
available.
Flashing: the cellular phone is being registered to the base unit.
Red (light on)
The cellular line is in use.
Red (flashing rapidly)
A cellular call is being received.
Red (flashing)
A cellular call is put on hold on the base unit or the answering
system is answering a call.
