You can change the area for autofocus (Focusing Area).
1
Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu will be displayed.

Select [Focusing Area] on the [A Rec. Mode] menu.

Press the four-way controller (45)
to change the focusing area.
4
Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take the picture.

Setting the Focusing Area
Multiple Normal range
Spot The autofocus range becomes smaller.
The focus frame lights green when focused by pressing the shutter
release button halfway if Multiple is selected.
