Audio Adjustments
Using the equalizer
The graphic equalizer lets you adjust the equal-
ization to match car interior acoustic character-
istics as desired.
Recalling equalizer curves
There are seven stored equalizer curves which
you can easily recall at any time. Here is a list of
the equalizer curves:
Display Equalizer curve
SUPER BASS Super bass
POWERFUL Powerful
NATURAL Natural
VOCAL Vocal
CUSTOM1, 2 Custom1, 2
FLAT Flat
• CUSTOM1 and CUSTOM2 are adjusted equal-
izer curves.
• A separate
CUSTOM1 curve can be created
for each source.
• If you make adjustments when a curve other
than
CUSTOM2 is selected, the equalizer curve
settings are memorized in CUSTOM1 .
• A CUSTOM2 curve can be created common to
all sources.
• If you make adjustments when the
CUSTOM2
curve is selected, the CUSTOM2 curve is
updated.
• When
FLAT is selected no supplement or
correction is made to the sound. This is useful
to check the effect of the equalizer curves by
switching alternatively between
FLAT and a set
equalizer curve.
1 Press EQ on the head unit to display the
equalizer mode.
2 Press EQ on the head unit to select the
equalizer.
Press
EQ on the head unit repeatedly to switch
between the following equalizer curves.
SUPER BASS — POWERFUL — NATURAL —
VOCAL — CUSTOM1 — CUSTOM2 — FLAT
Adjusting equalizer curves
You can adjust the currently selected equalizer
curve setting as desired. Adjusted equalizer
curve settings are memorized in
CUSTOM1 or
CUSTOM2 .
1 Press A to select the equalizer mode .
Press A until EQ Low/EQ Mid/EQ High appears in
the display.
• Pressing
AUDIO on the head unit also per-
forms the same operation.
2 Select the equalizer band you want to
adjust with
1 or ¡.
EQ Low (low)— EQ Mid (mid)— EQ High (high)
• Pressing 2 or 3 on the head unit also per-
forms the same operation.
3 Press
E or e to adjust the equalizer
curve.
Each press of
E or e increases or decreases
the equalizer curve respectively.
•
+6 – –6 is displayed as the equalizer curve is
increased or decreased.
• Pressing
5 or ∞ on the head unit also per-
forms the same operation.
Note
• If you make adjustments when a curve other
than CUSTOM2 is selected, CUSTOM1 curve
is updated.
