9.5.6 Call options
Setting call bar
This feature prohibits making outside calls with
the cordless handset. When call bar is turned
ON, only intercom calls and emergency calls can
be made. To store emergency numbers, see
page 79.
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Call Option”, then press ,.
4. Select “ Call Bar”, then press ,.
5. Enter “ 0000” (default cordless handset PIN).
L If you changed the PIN, enter it (page 76).
6. Select “ On” or “Off” (default), then press
, .
7. Press {ih}.
Note:
L When call bar is turned ON, o is displayed
on the cordless handset.
L To prohibit making outside calls with the base
unit, see feature #28 on page 68.
Storing the direct call number
This feature prohibits making outside calls
except to the telephone number you store here.
The number will be dialled automatically when
{C}
or {s} is pressed.
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Call Option”, then press ,.
4. Select “ Direct Call No.”, then press
, .
5. Enter the telephone number, up to 24 digits.
6. Press , 2 times.
7. Turn this feature ON or OFF by selecting
“ On” or “Off” (default), then press ,.
8. Press {ih}.
Note:
L When direct call is turned ON, p is displayed
in standby mode.
Turning direct call ON/OFF
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Call Option”, then press ,.
4. Select “ Direct On/Off”, then press ,.
5. Select “ On” or “Off” (default), then press
, .
6. Press {ih}.
Note:
L If there is no direct call number stored when
you turn direct call ON, you will be prompted
to enter a telephone number.
9.5.7 Other options
Changing the cordless handset PIN
(personal identification number)
For security, the cordless handset PIN must be
entered when changing certain settings. The
default PIN is “
0000”.
Important:
L If you change the PIN, please make note of
your new PIN. The unit will not reveal the
PIN to you. If you forget your PIN, consult
your nearest Panasonic service centre.
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Other Option”, then press ,.
4. Select “ Change H/S PIN”, then press
, .
5. Enter the current 4-digit cordless handset
PIN.
6. Enter the new 4-digit cordless handset PIN.
7. Enter the new 4-digit cordless handset PIN
again.
8. Press {ih}.
Changing the cordless handset name
The cordless handset can be given a customised
name. This feature is useful when you have
multiple cordless handsets.
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Other Option”, then press ,.
4. Select “ Change H/S Name”, then press
, .
5. Edit the name, up to 10 characters (see page
88 for instructions).
6. Press ,.
7. Press {ih}.
Setting auto talk
When this feature is turned ON, you can answer
calls simply by lifting the cordless handset off the
charger. You do not need to press any buttons.
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select t, then press ,.
3. Select “ Other Option”, then press ,.
