Applied Operations

Disc Random Playback

Tracks in a desired disc can be played back in a random
order. (Disc random playback is not available with DVD
VIDEO.)

1.

While the player is in stop mode, press the RANDOM
button repeatedly until the player enters the disc ran-
dom mode.

Press RANDOM to ALL RANDOM MODE

¶ When the player enters the disc random mode, the

screen as shown in the figure appears and the
"RANDOM" indicator in the display lights to
indicate that the player is in the disc random mode.

Select the disc by pressing the cursor left/right button,
then press the ENTER button to start disc random
playback.

¶ Disc random playback can also be started by

pressing the

3 button.

Stopping disc random playback

Perform step 1 of the procedure in "Disc Random
Playback
", then press the RANDOM button repeat-
edly until the player enters normal play mode (track
mode).
¶ The "RANDOM" indicator turns off.

Clearing the program

1.

Perform operations in step 1 of the procedure in "Reg-
istering and playing the program
".

2.

Move the cursor to

Last Clear

or

All Clear

in the

screen, then press the ENTER button.

¶ Every time "Last Clear" is selected, the last track

in the program list is cleared. (The program can
also be cleared by pressing the CLEAR button.)

¶ When "All Clear" is selected, all tracks in the entire

program list are cleared.

Stopping program playback

Perform operations in step 1 of the procedure in "Reg-
istering and playing the program
", then press the
PGM button repeatedly until the player enters nor-
mal play mode (track mode).

¶ The "PROG." indicator turns off.

¶ If the disc is changed in the middle of programming,

the playback may become different from the
intended playback. In this case, the programming
should be restarted from the beginning.

All Random Playback

Tracks in all discs in the tray can be played in a random
order. (All random playback is not available with DVD
VIDEO.)

1.

While the player is in stop mode, press the RANDOM
button repeatedly until the player enters the all ran-
dom mode.

ALL RANDOM MODE

Play

Press RANDOM to TRACK MODE

¶ When the player enters the all random mode, the

screen as shown in the figure appears and the "ALL
RANDOM
" indicator in the display lights to
indicate that the player is in the all random mode.

2.

Press the ENTER button to start all random playback.

¶ All random playback can also be started by pressing

the

3 button. (When a DVD VIDEO disc is

encountered in the tray, the disc is skipped and the
display shows "SKIP DVD-V".)

Stopping all random playback

Perform step 1 of the procedure in "All Random Play-
back
", then press the RANDOM button repeatedly
until the player enters normal play mode (track
mode).

¶ The "ALL RANDOM" indicator turns off.
