OSD Operation

Memory playback

When you register a scene you like in memory, you can
start playback from that scene any time you want. Up to
10 scenes can be registered in memory.

Memory registration and deletion are not available
during menu playback of DVD or with a DVD VIDEO
for which time display is disabled.

When performing this operation with a P.B.C.-
compatible VCD, set P.B.C. to off.

This function may be unavailable with certain discs.

Registering a scene in memory

1.

Press the ON SCREEN button during playback to
display the "MAIN" OSD.

2.

Move the cursor to

S e t

(Memory Set icon) by

pressing the cursor button left/right, then press the

ENTER button.

3.

Select the memory number to be used in registration
by pressing the cursor up/down button, then press
the ENTER button when the scene to be registered
comes.

¶ The displayed time value is the accumulated count

since second 0 of the first track in the same group.

¶ To delete a scene from memory, select the memory

number and press the CLEAR button.

¶ Up to 10 scenes can be registered in memory.

Repeat playback

Desired video and audio can be played repeatedly.
However, with some DVDs and VCDs, the partitions
in the recording are not related with the track number
assignment. As a result, repeat playback may not be
available with such software.

(The same effect can also be obtained directly by
pressing the REPEAT button.

This function may be unavailable with certain discs.

Press the ON SCREEN button during playback to dis-
play the "MAIN" OSD.

2.

Move the cursor to

(Repeat icon) by pressing

the cursor left/right button, then press the ENTER

button.

3.

Select the repeat mode by pressing the cursor up/
down button, then press the ENTER button.

¶ Repeat playback is canceled when it is stopped,

except when "All" is selected.

¶ When the repeat mode is changed, the repeat icon

varies according to the change. When the player is
set to a repeat play mode, the repeat indicator in
the display lights up and the character information
display also shows the repeat mode information
for a few seconds.

¶ When the player is in stop mode, only "All" or

"Off" can be selected.

¶ This operation is not available during P.B.C.

playback of a VCD or with a DVD disc without
time display.

The memory numbers in which

scenes have already been registered

show the disc number, title, group,

track number and the time. Memory

numbers 5 to 10 are displayed on the

next display page.

÷ When a number in which a scene has already been

registered is selected, the scene will overwrite the
existing memory.

÷ The memory of the disc at the disc replacement

position of the tray is cleared when the power is
turned off or standby or the tray is opened.

÷ This operation is not available with a MP3 disc.

Recalling memory

1.

Press the ON SCREEN button during playback to
display the "MAIN" OSD.

2.

Move the cursor to

P l a y

(Memory Play icon)

and press the ENTER button.

3.

Select the memory number of the scene to be recalled
by pressing the cursor up/down button, then press
the ENTER button.
