• \:a [A-Za-z0-9 - Matches an alphanumeric char-
acter.
• \:b\([ \t]#\) - Matches blanks.
• \:c [A-Za-z] - Matches an alphabetic character.
• \:d [0-9] - Matches a digit.

part.
