Calling Features
This chapter describes features related to making and answering calls.
For information about other call-related features, see “Viewing Recent
Calls” on page 45 and “Data and Fax Calls” on page 61. For basic
instructions on how to make and answer calls, see pages 30-31.
Redialing a Number
You can redial a previously dialled phone number, whether the call was
connected or busy. From the idle display, press
N, select the call you
want to redial, and press
N again.
Using Caller ID
The calling line identification (caller ID) feature lets you see
who is calling before you answer.
• If the caller’s name is stored in your phonebook, the phone
automatically displays the
Name
or
Icon ID
. Otherwise, the phone
displays the caller’s phone number. To create or change a
phonebook entry, see “Storing a Phonebook Entry” on page 54.
• If caller ID information is not available, your phone displays the
message
Incoming Call
.
• Outgoing Calls: Other phones can display your phone number
when you call them or send a message. To hide your number for the
next call or message, press
