Messages—Text
Receiving a New Text Message
Note: You must set up the text message inbox before you can
receive text messages.
When you receive a new message, your phone displays New
Message X and gives an alert. If reminders are turned on, your
phone sends a reminder every five minutes until you close the

number of days your network tries to
send unreceived messages
7 OK ( + ) store the expiration period
8 CHANGE ( + ) change the Cleanup setting

scroll to the period of time that
messages stay in your inbox
10 SELECT ( + ) select the cleanup period
If you select Custom , continue.
Otherwise, the procedure is
complete.
