14.5 DSC/RADIO SETUP MODE
The VH-310 Handset can access the DSC / RADIO setup menu (refer to sec-
tion “11 DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING” and section “12 RADIO SETUP
MODE” for details). The
CONTRAST , NAV DISPLAY , KEY BEEP , and AF SE-
LECT menu item accessed from the VH-310 Handset only controls the VH-310
Handset’s display and speaker.
DSC/RADIO Setup mode from the VH-310 Handset:
1. Press and hold down the [CALL(MENU)] key until “
RADIO SETUP ” menu
appears.
2. Press the [ ]/[ ] key to select “ RADIO SETUP ” or “ DSC SETUP ” menu.
3. Press the [ENT] key, then select the menu item you wish to work on by
pressing the [ ]/[ ] key.
4. Press the [ENT] key.
5. Press the [
]/[ ] key to change the value or condition for the menu item,
then press the [ENT] key to save the new setting.
6. Press the [ ]/[ ] key to select “ EXIT ,” then press the [ENT] key to return
to the normal operation.

NOTE
When the SETUP menu is selected, using the VH-310 Handset, the
GX3000S will be temporarily disabled until the VH-310 Handset exits
from the setup mode.
