If your network has a proxy server, you will also need to modify
Windows to bypass your proxy server for local IP addresses. To
bypass your proxy server for local IP addresses, follow these steps:
1 F rom the Windows S t a rt menu, select Settings > C o n t rol Panel .
2 Double-click on the I n t e rnet Options i c o n .
3 Click on the C o n n e c t i o n s t a b .
4 Click LAN Settings… .
5 Select Bypass proxy server for local addre s s e s , and click O K .
6 Click O K .
