VCR OPERATION (CONTINUED)
RECORDING A TV PROGRAM/EXTERNAL AV INPUT
If the unit is in DVD mode, press the DVD/VCR button (on the main unit) or VCR Button (on the
remote) to change the unit to VCR mode.
Press the POWER button to turn on the unit and load a
tape with the Erase Prevention Tab intact.

Press the SP/SLP button to select the desired tape speed.
See page 33 for more information on tape usage.

Press the CHANNEL Up (π) 1 or Down (†) 2 button to
select a channel to be recorded.
Press and hold the CHANNEL Up (π) 1 or Down (†) 2
button to change channels more rapidly.
NOTE: For Recording from the front or rear A/V inputs
(VIDEO1 or Video 2), press the AV1/AV2 button repeatedly
to select Video 1 or Video 2.

Press the REC button to begin recording; the REC
indicator will light in the display and on the screen.

NOTES:
• The TV/VCR channel cannot be changed during recording.
• If the Erase Prevention Tab is removed, the tape will eject when the REC button is pressed.
• Press the COUNTER RESET/CLEAR button during recording to reset the counter to “0:00:00”.
• If you want to view another TV channel/station during recording, see page 36 (TO VIEW ANOTHER PROGRAM
WHILE RECORDING).
• When the end of the tape is reached during recording, it will stop recording automatically and the tape will be ejected.
Do not overlap programs as portions of the conflicting
programs will be lost.
The first recording time has priority over the next recording
time as shown in the diagram.
