TO REWIND THE TAPE RAPIDLY TO FAST FORWARD THE TAPE RAPIDLY
Press the Reverse Search √√ (Rewind) button 1 while in
the Stop mode; ”REW” will appear in the display. Press the
STOP ■ button 2 when done. When it reaches the
beginning of the tape, it will stop

Press the Forward Search ®® (Fast Forward) button 1
while in the Stop mode; ”FF” will appear in the display.
Press the STOP ■ button 2 when done. When it reaches
the end of the tape, it will stop.

TO VISUALLY SEARCH BACKWARD TO VISUALLY SEARCH FORWARD

Press the Forward Search ®® (Fast Forward) button 1
while in the Play mode to visually search forward with x3
speed for SP mode (x9 speed for SLP mode). Press again
to visually search forward with x5 speed for SP mode (x15
speed for SLP mode). Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®P button
2
to resume normal playback.

NOTES:
• Best results during speed search and still playback can
be obtained with video cassettes recorded in the "SP"
mode.
• The audio output is muted during Speed Search and
Still.
• A few noise bars will appear on the TV screen during
Speed Search and Still.
• To prevent damage to the tape, Still mode is
automatically changed to the Stop mode after 5 minutes.
PAUSE/STEP
Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®P button 1 while in the Play
mode to pause the picture. Press the Forward Search ®®
(Fast Forward) button 2 or Reverse Search √√ (Rewind)
button 3 to play the tape in forward or reverse slow motion.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®P 1 to resume playback.
