BASIC RECORDING PROCEDURE
1 Rotate the function dial to .
2 Slide the power switch to turn on the camera.
• The power switch returns to the initial position.
When the power switch is on in the recording mode, the LCD
monitor is off. If you need to turn on the LCD, press once.
3 Determine the image composition while looking into the LCD
monitor or viewfinder.
• When holding the camera, be sure not to cover the lens with your fingers or
other objects.
• When the focus is not adjusted for the subject, use the focus lock function
(see page 39).
4 Adjust the image range and size with the / keys.
• When the key is pressed, the image size becomes large (Telephoto
mode). When the key is pressed, the image range becomes wide
(Wide-angle mode).
