Replacing the hard drive kit

Slide the old hard drive kit out of your notebook.

If your new hard drive kit has a cable connector, go to Step 11.
-OR-
Remove the cable connector from your old hard drive and place it on your
new hard drive. Be careful not to bend any of the pins on the hard drive.

Slide the new hard drive kit into your notebook.

Connect the hard drive cable to your notebook.

Replace the hard drive cover.

Replace the screws that secure the hard drive cover to your notebook.

Insert the battery and turn your notebook over.

Connect the power adapter and modem and network cables, then turn on
your notebook.
