Removal and Disassembly
10. If pinion bearings need to be replaced, remove
inner bearing cone from drive pinion with press
or bearing puller. Puller must fit under inner face
of cone to remove cone correctly without
damage. Figure 2.40.
NOTE
If bearing cup is changed, the bearing cone must
also be replaced. The cup and cone must come
from the same manufacturer.
