This procedure only applies to HP Pavilion zv5000 Series and
HP Pavilion zx5000 Series Notebooks.
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3)
and remove the following components:
❏ Combination drive (Section 5.6)
❏ Strip cover (Section 5.9)
❏ Keyboard (Section 5.10)
❏ Display assembly (Section 5.14)
❏ Base enclosure (Section 5.15)
❏ Speaker assembly (Section 5.16)
❏ LED board (Section 5.17)
