Removal and Replacement Procedures
5.16 Top Cover

When replacing the top cover, determine if a Bluetooth board is
installed in the defective top cover. If a board is installed, remove
it from the defective top cover and install it in the replacement top
cover. Refer to Section 5.17, “Bluetooth Board,” for instructions
on removing and installing a Bluetooth board.
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3).
2. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the Mini PCI
communications board (Section 5.6).
3. Remove the following components:
❏ Optical drive (Section 5.8)
❏ Keyboard (Section 5.9)
❏ Switch cover (Section 5.10)
❏ Speaker cover (Section 5.11)
❏ Display assembly (Section 5.15)
4. Turn the notebook upside down, with the front facing you.
