remain set when you cycle the power on

Preferences Menu
Use the Preferences menu to change a variety of your camera’s general settings. You can select from
these options:

Soft Key Function
Edit Opens submenu associated with
the highlighted menu option.
Format Available only when Format Card
is highlighted.
Reset Available only when Reset
Settings is highlighted.
Exit Exits this submenu and returns
camera to Capture mode.
