14. Connect the front panel LED board cable.
15. Install the fan assembly (" Installing the fan assembly " on page 20 ).
16. Install the access panel (" Installing the access panel " on page 17 ).
17. Install the server into the rack (" Installing the server into the rack " on page 25 ).
Diskette drive assembly option
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays
are populated with either a component or a blank.
1. Power down the server (" Powering down the server " on page 15 ).
2. Remove the server from the rack (" Removing the server from the rack " on page 16 ).
3. Remove the access panel (" Removing the access panel " on page 17 ).
4. Remove the fan assembly (" Removing the fan assembly " on page 18 ).
5. Disconnect the front panel LED board cable.
6. Disconnect cables from any devices installed in the media cage, if necessary.
