To activate Chord mode, set
MODE
to
HARM
by turning Knob 5 (by default set to
OFF
).

Define the intervals of your chord with the
TYPE
parameter by turning Knob 6 (by default
set to
1-3-5
).

To enable playing full chords, ensure that the
SCALE
(
Edit
) button is lit.

Chord mode is activated and set to
Harmonizer
. Pressing any key automatically activates
and plays back the nearest lit key according to the mapping by selected scale. It also
plays back the third and the fifth note above the pressed key in the selected scale, in ac-
cordance with the interval value set by Knob 6 (
1-3-5
, meaning the first, third, and fifth
note of a chord). All played back notes are indicated by the Light Guide.

To map the knobs and displays to Instrument parameters again, press
PLUG-IN
. The
Scale engine remains switched on.
15.5 Editing Scales and Chords
You have the possibility to tailor the scales and chords to your liking using the Scale engine
parameters.

To edit the Scale engine parameters in the KOMPLETE KONTROL software, click on
SCALE
in the Perform panel so it is highlighted.

To enable Scale Edit mode and map the Scale engine parameters to the keyboard’s Con-
trol section, press
SHIFT
+
SCALE
(
Edit
).

You can now edit the Scale engine parameters on the keyboard’s Control section.
