Forcefully ejecting the disc

In the following situation, you can forcefully

eject the disc by using the forced ejection

hole.

When the device has malfunctioned and

the disc cannot be ejected using the eject

button or through the software

1

Check that the computer power is

turned off, and that the disc has

stopped rotating.

2

Straighten a paper clip or similar

object, and insert this straight

into the forced ejection hole and

push hard.

3

The disc tray will come out by

5 mm (3/16 in.) to 10 mm (25/64 in.),

so pull out the tray and remove

the disc.

Note

• Never forcefully eject the tray while

the disc is still rotating, as doing so

may lead to injury or damage to the

disc.

• Do not place items within 12 cm (4-

23/32 in.) of the front of the device, as

doing so may obstruct disc ejection.
