4.5.1 PoE Configuration
This section provides PoE (Power over Ethernet) Configuration and PoE output status of PoE Injector Hub, screen in
Figure 4-5-2
appears

describes the PoE Configuration object of PoE Injector Hub.

Description
• System POE Admin Mode
Allows user to disable PoE function.
• Power Supply
Display PoE power supply status.
• POE Temperature Unit 1
Display the current operating temperature of PoE chip unit 1.
• POE Temperature Unit 2
Display the current operating temperature of PoE chip unit 2.
• Power limit mode
Allows user to configure power limit mode. It can be choose :
No Limit: Deliver unlimited PoE power budget.
Port Priority: According to port priority setting and device class to deliver PoE
power.
Total Limit: According to port power limit setting to deliver PoE power. The default
port power limit setting is 0 watts when you change to this mode.
Consumption: According to real device power consumption to deliver PoE power.
As system default setting is on this mode.
• Over Temperature
Protection
Enabled to prevent system too hot to damage. When POE unit temperature rise and
over Temperature Threshold value, PoE power budget will be reduced 10 watts
when the temperature raised 3 Degree C each time, and PoE power budget will
going down 30 watts maximum.
For example, 460 watts is default PoE power budget and Temperature Threshold is
50 Degree C. PoE temperature raise is going to cause PoE Power budget changing
as follow.
