38: HALF SIZE SCAN: This function selects handling of the lower half
of the reading data when a small size document was read from the
Flatbed Scanner.
Set to OFF - Does not discard data.
Set to ON - Discards lower half data.
Note 1: With Option I/F Mode set to ‘MFPI’, the function is disabled.
Note 2: This function is only active when the 1284 option board is
installed.
Changing user function settings
1. Press the Select Function key.
2. Press the 9/User Program One Touch key. The display shows
1:FUNC. PROGRAMMING.
3. Press the W YES key. The display shows FUNCTION NO.[ ].
4. Using the numeric keypad, enter the 2-digit number of the function
you want to change. This display then shows the name of the
selected function.
5. Press the NO X key to cycle through the settings for the user
function, then press the W YES key to confirm your selection. The
name of the next user function appears in the display.
Note: If you are changing your fax machine’s TX MODE DEFAULT
settings, the new settings will appear on the LEDs above the
Transmit Resolution/
WYES and the Type of Original/NOX.
6. To select another user function, press the Stop key and return to
step 4.
7. Press the Select Function key to finish.
Setting distinctive ring
Note: In some countries, distinctive ring service is not available from
the local telephone company.
1. Press the Select Function key.
2. Press the 9/User Program One Touch key. The display shows
1:FUNC. PROGRAMMING.
