3.1.7

Slowly operate the pump until the plate is close to, or just touching, the filter. Check the alignment of the crushing unit with the plate.

3.1.8

Apply increasing pressure until the filter is crushed, as shown in Fig.6. Note that the crushing unit is supplied with a ram extension. If
the press ram travel is insufficient to completely crush the filter, the ram can be retracted, the extension inserted between ram and
crushing plate and crushing completed without repositioning the press table.

3.1.9

DO NOT exceed the stroke rate indicated on the press, or the red line marked on the piston gauge.

3.1.10 On the completion of work, release the press pressure, the piston and the crushing plate head will retract automatically.
3.1.11 Ensure that the crushed filters and residual oil and sludge are disposed of according to local regulations.
3.2

OIL CRUSHER UNIT ADAPTORS

3.2.1

The adaptors OFCA50 and OFCA60, shown at Fig.1, enable Oil Filter Crusher OFC1 to be used with a wide range of bench and floor
presses.

NOTE: ALWAYS keep the press piston retracted after use to avoid corrosion.
