Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable)
into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.

6.1.
Connecting the booster leads to start a vehicle with a discharged (flat) battery. Negative earthed system. Read in conjunction
with notes on safety.
6.1.1 switch off all vehicle appliances such as fans, heaters and sound systems etc. switch off both ignitions.
6.1.2 remove and separate the two booster cables from the carrier.
6.1.3 clamp the red cable to the positive terminal of the discharged battery. It may be necessary to remove a cover from the battery terminal.
6.1.4 secure the other red clamp to the positive terminal of the donor vehicle battery.
6.1.5 clamp the black cable to the negative terminal of the donor vehicle battery.
6.1.6 to avoid a spark, it is recommended that you attach the black cable clamp to an unpainted metal surface inside the engine
compartment, not the negative terminal of the discharged battery. Beware of moving parts with the cable run.
6.1.7 check for integrity of all connections.
6.1.8 start the donor engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes enabling a trickle charge.
6.1.9 Increase the engine speed up to 3000 rpm as you attempt to start the second vehicle.
6.2.
Removal of the booster leads. This would be safer with engines switched off.
6.2.1 Beware of moving and hot parts and remove the negative black cable clamp from the engine compartment unpainted surface.
6.2.2 remove the black cable clamp from the negative terminal of the donor battery.
6.2.3 remove the red cable clamp from the positive terminal of the donor battery.
6.2.4 remove the red cable clamp from the positive terminal of the previously failed battery.
6.2.5 return all items to the carrier case on completion. clean if necessary with a moist cloth and mild detergent.

5.1.
General guide to towing with the supplied load rated tow rope. Read in conjunction with notes on safety.
5.1.1
The towed vehicle must be legally entitled to be on the highway. The towed driver must be fully qualified to drive, with at least 3 years
full licence driving experience.
5.1.2. Position the towing vehicle in line with the towed vehicle approximately 2.5 metres bumper to bumper.
5.1.3. Attach the tow rope hooks to both vehicle's standard eye fittings. Ensure the spring loaded clips snap back to their stops.
5.1.4.
Ensure the red flag marker is fitted at the centre of the length of tow rope and clearly visible.
5.1.5.
establishing a form of agreed communication between the two drivers is strongly recommended. signals for increasing speed, slowing
down, direction changes etc..
5.1.6.
the driver of the towed vehicle should apply both the hand brake and the foot brake.
5.1.7. the driver of the towing vehicle should check all mirrors and give the appropriate signal for starting. then release the hand brake and
the clutch very gradually to avoid "snatching" the load. the driver of the towed vehicle must be able to see the rear lights of the towing
vehicle.
5.1.8. Drive to suit the traffic conditions. A maximum speed of 15mph is recommended in traffic.
5.1.9. the towed vehicle generally operates the brakes whilst keeping the rope taut, the powered vehicle to signal all maneouvres early.
5.1.10. The towed vehicle to copy the signals of the leading vehicle. Use hazard lights only when stationary, but not at traffic lights.
5.1.11. return all items to the carrier case on completion. clean if necessary.
7. MAINTENANCE
7.1.
Check the tow rope before and after each use for damage, flaws or wear.
7.2.
check the kit is complete.
7.2.
store the kit in a dry place at room temperature away from sunlight. Always keep all the contents and the instructions in the carrier case
in which they were supplied.
