Installation
Step 2: Check the battery(ies)
↻ Battery(ies) fitted.
1. Insert the DC breaker(s) into the DC breaker socket on the battery(ies).
(See Figure 4 on page 18)
2. Check the idle voltage using suitable measuring equipment.
3. Measure for any possible deviation of the idle voltage between the batter-
ies.
»
In the event of a deviation below or at 0.5 V, carry out the next step and
proceed with Step 3.
4. Remove DC breaker(s).

Figure 2: Connection of a suitable DC source ensuring the correct polarity
In the event of a deviation over 0.5 V, other steps are necessary:
1. Connect a suitable DC source to the relevant battery module.
(Observe the correct polarity!) (See figure 2)
2. The specified voltage of the DC source must correspond to the maximum
voltage of one of the battery modules installed.
(Maximum permissible charging voltage: 52 V)
3. Restrict the specified current of the DC source to 5 A.
4. Start the charging process.
5. Switch off the DC source when the charge current is at 1 A to 2 A.
6. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for all batteries until the relevant idle voltage deviation
of the individual modules reaches 0.5 V in relation to one another.
7. Remove DC breakers after the idle voltages have been equalised.
