Operating Instructions
Messages of the Sunny Display in Case of a Failure
In case of a failure the Sunny Display switches to „Failure“ and the background illu-
mination is activated.
The bottom line indicates the type of failure for 5 se-
conds.
Failures that result from a specific value that e.g. ex-
ceeds a limiting are specified with the value that
caused the failure as well as the current value.
The normal operating data are displayed after 5 se-
conds.
The display starts from the beginning again in case the failure is still present. Chapter
6.4 "Measurement Channels and Messages" (page 44) gives more detailed informa-
tion concerning the failure messages.
“Error ROM“ indicates that the Sunny Boy has detec-
ted a defective firmware in the EEPROM. Contact
SMA in order to remove this failure.
Indication of DC Overvoltage
A too high voltage on the input (DC) side is indicated
with a blinking background illumination and the dis-
play shown on the side.
Check the input voltage and your module configuration before you reconnect the DC
voltage to the Sunny Boy again!
Disconnect the Sunny Boy from the supply voltage immediate-
ly! The Sunny Boy can otherwise be severely damaged!
