High levels of dissolved (ferrous) iron and manganese (>5 ppm) can damage your resin. To prolong the lifespan of your water softener when these
materials are excessively present, Everpure ® recommends a prefilter. Also, use salt that contains an iron-fighting additive or use a resin cleaner on
a regular basis.
