Electric Over Hydraulic Brake System

• Break open the box containing the Titan II Actuator and its com-

ponents. Sort all items and hardware by size.

Battery Boxes

• Locate the two battery boxes. Note that a battery box will be

mounted on each side frame as far forward as possible.

• Place one of the battery boxes on the inside of the side frame.

Align the holes with those pre-drilled in the side frame. Insert

four- ¼” x 1” hex bolts through the frame and then through the

battery box. Secure with a ¼” nylon lock nut. Tighten.

• Repeat the above processes on the second battery box.

SD Control Module

• Locate the SD Control Module. Place it on the inside of the

frame as shown in Diagram B. Secure to the side frame using

¼” x 1” hex bolts and ¼” nylon lock nuts.

Actuator

• Locate the actuator mounting plate and the actuator.

• Place 5/16” lock washers on the three 5/16” x 1” hex bots. At-

tach the actuator to the mounting plate using the three- 5/16” x

1” bolts positioned as shown in Diagram B. Tighten.

• Place the actuator and mounting plate assembly inside the I-

beam side frame. Align the holes with the pre-drilled holes in the

frame. Insert four- ¼” x 1” hex bolts. Secure with ¼” nylon lock

nuts. Tighten.

Batteries

1. Place the batteries in the battery boxes. Remove the protective

covers from the battery terminals. Locate the battery wire har-

ness supplied in the kit. Connect to the batteries by connecting

the wire harness spades with the red coating to the positive post

and the white wire to the negative post of the battery.

2. Route the wire harness from one battery to the other and then

over to the SD control module. Connect the battery wire har-

ness to the mating molded plug on the SD control module.

3. Replace the battery box covers.

Brake Line Tubing Connection

1. Starting at the front of the trailer, carefully remove the frame

brake line tubing from the black plastic tubing that is mounted

in the side frame used for routing the wiring and the brake line

tubing. Re¬move the tubing so there is sufficient tubing to be

routed from the black plastic tubing to the brake line port as

shown on Diagram B.

2. Carefully bend the tubing with smooth round curves making sure

that the line is not kinked as it is formed to its new location.

3. Thread the brass brake line elbow into the port of the actuator.

Tighten.

4. Remove the coupling from the end of the frame brake line used

to connect it to the tongue brake line tubing. Thread the frame

brake line fitting into the elbow just installed in the actuator port

shown. Tighten.

Tongue:

Slide the tongue into the tongue channel weldment on front cross-

member. Secure the tongue with a 5/8” X 7” stainless steel hex bolt,

5/8” stainless steel flat washer and 5/8” stainless steel hex lock nut

with nylon insert.

Secure the tongue to the tongue plate on the frame using two (2)

5/8” X 5-3/4” X 6-1/2” square u-bolts and four (4) 5/8” stainless

steel hex lock nut with nylon inserts.

Wiring

The tongue comes from the factory already pre-assembled. The

wire harness is installed and threaded into the locations required

for it to be connected to the frame once the tongue is installed. Do

not connect any of the wiring from the tongue to the wiring in the

frame until the tongue is fully installed.

Top Tongue Wires:

• Place white wire with grounding ring on the top side of the flat

aluminum plate connecting the bottom flanges of the two side

frame together. Place the self-tapping screw into the ring of the

white wire and drill into the flat plate creating a positive

ground.

• All other wires exiting the hole in the top of the tongue will be

connected to the brake actuator system using the instructions

supplied with the electric over hydraulic brake system.

• Plug the brown/yellow with 2-pin connector into the frame wire

harness for lights on the left side of the trailer.

• Plug the brown/green with 2-pin connector into the frame wire

harness for lights on the right side of the trailer.

Coupler / Safety Chain:

Mount the coupler onto the tongue (matching the hole pattern) us-

ing four (4) 5/8” X 1-3/4” stainless steel hex bolts and four (4) 5/8”

stainless steel hex lock nuts with nylon inserts.

Mount the safety chains to the front of the tongue using /2” X 1-1/2”

stainless steel hex bolts, followed by a 1/2” stainless steel flat

washer and safety chain. Secure this assembly on the inside of the

tongue using a 1/2” stainless steel hex lock nut with nylon insert.

Repeat the above instructions on the other side of the tongue.
