Adding a server manually
If the K2 Summit/Solo is not discovered by the K2 Dyno Controller, you can add the server manually.
Dyno will not add a server that does not have the current version of the K2 system software as
specified in the Version Compatibility.
1. In the Startup screen, press
Add Server
on the touch screen. The online keyboard displays.
2. Enter the server name of the server and press
Enter
.
NOTE: Do not add the IP address of the server.
3. If you need to edit the server name, press
Remove Server
on the touch screen and repeat steps
1-2.
NOTE: If Dyno does not display the server name in the list of available servers, try to ping the
server and verify the server name, software version, and network connections.
Add a K2 Dyno Controller to a session on a K2 SAN
After you have started a session on the first K2 Dyno Controller on a K2 SAN system, do the
following task on each subsequent K2 Dyno Controller that shares media on the K2 SAN.
1. On the K2 Dyno Replay Controller, open
K2 Replay Client
.
2. Select
Configure
.
3. Select the K2 Summit/Solo controlled by the K2 Dyno Controller and
Next
.
4. Select the session already started by the first K2 Dyno Controller on the K2 SAN and
Next
.
5. For a typical system, do the following:
a) Set C1 and C2 to Recorder.
b) Set C3 and C4 to Player.
c) Touch
Next
.
6. For a typical system, do the following:
a) Set C3 to PGM.
b) Set C4 to PVW.
c) Touch
Start
.
All the K2 Dyno Controllers on the same session share highlights and playlists.
Refer to K2 Dyno Controller User Manual and K2 Dyno Replay System Quick Start Guide for
operation instructions.
