Using the Menu Organizer
Creating an event type group
To include any event type in a template, you add it to a group. Before you can do this, you
need to create the group. Add an entry in the Asset Event Groups list box for each group
you want to use.
To create an event type group:
1 Click New Asset Event Group. The Create Event Group pop-up appears.
2 Type the title of the group.
3 Click Create.
The Template Editor adds an entry for the group in the Asset Event Groups list.
4 Click Save Template when you want to save the template with your changes.
Adding an event type to a group
To add an event type to a group:
1 Select a group in the Asset Event Groups list.
2 Add an entry in the Group Events list box for each event type you want to include in
the group.
3 From the dropdown list to the right of the list box, select a metadata type. The name of
the type appears in the Label box. This is the name that appears on the annotation
button for the event type.
4 You can change the name in the Label box as required.
5 Click Save Template
6 To see your saved changes, click refresh on your web browser, then reload the template
via the templates dialogue box.
Note:
Using the Menu Organizer
The filter-type menu is used in defining search criteria in SmartClient (and in PinPoint, the
iTX search tool). It lists the database fields that SmartClient (or PinPoint) may be requested
As you add types, you can re-position them relative to each other by
selecting them and clicking the up or down arrows.
You can remove any selected type by clicking
‘x’
.
