The EVB solution works as follows:
3. The IMC operator configures the switch that connects to physical server of the VM as an edge
switch in VCM. Click 1 to enter the edge switch management page.
4. The IMC operator manages VSI Types in VCM. Click 2 to enter the VSI Type management page.
5. The physical server administrator uses the VSI Types obtained from VCM to create connections for
VMs. Click 3 to enter the connection management page.
6. When a VM migrates from one physical server to another, the edge switch asks VCM to deploy
or undeploy the VSI Type associated with the VM.
7. Click 5 to view the VM migration and connection operation history.
Common operations
Navigating a list
If a list contains enough entries, use the following aids to navigate the list:
• Select 8, 15, 50, 100, or 200 at the bottom of the list to configure how many items per page you
want to display.
• Click the Next Page icon to page forward in the list.
• Click the Last Page icon to page forward to the end of the list.
• Click the Previous Page icon to page backward in the list.
• Click the First Page icon to page backward to the front of the list.
Sorting a list
You can sort a list by every field that contains a Sort icon in the column label.
