Update Software from Visara FTP Site
You can update the FEP-4600 software from the Visara FTP site, if these preconditions
are met:
• The FEP-4600 is connected to a LAN with access to the Internet.
• You have a valid IP address configured in the Network Configuration for a DNS
server
• Any firewall that is in place permits FTP operations to occur. (FTP requires port
21 to be enabled.)
To initiate the update, press the ‘From Visara’ button. If the FEP-4600 is unable to
establish a connection to the Visara FTP site, a message screen will appear as shown
below.
If the connection is made, the FEP-4600 will compare its version with the software
versions available on the FTP site and offer the available options. An example of the
resulting panel appears below.
