RT-3010 User Guide – Rev. F
Do not continue charging the battery if
it does not accept a charge within the
full charge cycle of 8 to 10 hours.
Doing so may cause the battery to
become hot, explode, or ignite.
If the battery packs are left charging
for longer than 5 days, the charging
indicator LEDs will shut off. If this
occurs, place the battery packs in the
SF-2040 GPS sensor and power on
for 10-15 minutes in order to slightly
discharge the batteries.
Battery Discharging
The temperature range over which the
battery can be discharged is -20
°C to
60
°C. Use of the battery outside of this
temperature range may damage the
performance of the battery or may reduce
its life expectancy.
Do not discharge the battery using any
device other than the device it is designed
to operate with (i.e., the GPS sensor or
radio modem). Doing so may damage the
performance of the battery or reduce its
life expectancy, and may cause the
battery to become hot, explode, or ignite
and cause serious injury.
Remove the battery packs from the
RT-3010 GPS if the sensor will not be
used for over 1 week.
