2. Starting from the handle, slowly remove the index marker from the strip by gently twisting the

strip in the area of the marker.

Note:

Be sure to hold the index and limit markers by the handle only. The adhesive on the
handle can be touched, however be careful not to touch the adhesive on the areas of
the markers that will be applied to the scale.

Result: The marker will pull away from the transparent adhesive backing. Holding only the

handle, slowly pull the index marker from the strip.
