Installing the PCIe-DAS1602/16
What comes with your PCIe-DAS1602/16 shipment?
As you unpack your PCIe-DAS1602/16, make sure that the following components are included.

Documentation
In addition to this hardware user's guide, you should also receive the Quick Start Guide. This booklet provides
an overview of the MCC DAQ software you received with the device, and includes information about installing
the software. Please read this booklet completely before installing any software or hardware.

Signal termination and conditioning accessories
MCC provides signal termination and signal conditioning products for use with the PCIe-DAS1602/16.
Refer to the Field wiring, signal termination, and signal conditioning section for a list of compatible
accessory products.
Unpacking
As with any electronic device, take care while handling to avoid damage from static electricity. Before
removing the PCIe-DAS1602/16 from its packaging, ground yourself using a wrist strap or by simply touching
the computer chassis or other grounded object to eliminate any stored static charge.

Note
: Before installing a PCIe-DAS1602/16, install the software you plan to use with the device.

Configuring the hardware
If you are using the PCIe-DAS1602/16 with its default settings, the board is completely plug-and-play. You can
skip these configuration sections and refer to Installing the hardware.
