4.4 Fuse Replacement

1. Twist off the four rubber feet on the bottom of the instrument with finger friction. Remove the

bottom cover plate and set aside.

2. Invert the instrument and tap into the palm of the hand till the battery pack falls out.

3. Look inside the battery pack compartment and find the fuse extractor. It is a loop of plastic tubing

held captive by the fuse body & fuse clips (see Figure 4-2). Grasping the fuse extractor tightly
between your index finger and thumb and as close to the fuse as possible, push away from you
until the fuse pops out. Pull the fuse out of the instrument.

4. Replace the fuse with P/N FU-83.
