C.5.4 Repairs
Clamp rail replacement:
The clamp rail must be replaced, when the protective coa-
ting underside the clamp rail is friction used.
Clamp rail removal:
1. Lift main clamp.
2. Loosen retaining screw

3. Pull clamp rail
2 down and remove.
Clamp rail installation:
1. Insert clamp rail
2 into fixture and push up until it re-
aches the stop. Make sure the clamp rail is positioned
evenly in the fixture.
2. Tighten retaining screw

Cutter replacement:
The cutters are integral to a block together with the pres-
sure cylinder. The cutter block for the left slash selvage
is attached with two fixing angles
1 and 2 and screws
to the pick-up plate bracket.
The two cutter blocks for the left and right trousers com-
ponents are each attached with a fixing angle
3 and
screws to the bottom of the working plate.
1. Disconnect compressed air hoses (the hoses are
merely pushed onto the sleeve).

3. Position new cutter block, secure using screws and
connect compressed air hoses.
4. Readjust cutter position as described in Section 5.5,
"Machine set-up".
