Quiet zones
Quiet zones are bright, blank areas on the right and left side of the bar code
(in reading direction). They are necessary for error-free reading.

Measures The following typical values apply to quiet zones:
• Scanner with average depth-of-focus:
10x the module width of one element, at least 2.5 mm.
• Scanner with high depth-of-focus:
15x the module width of one element, at least 6.5 mm.
