Connecting to a SmartController

The 24 VDC can be obtained from a SmartController if you are connecting the Adept SmartVi-
sion MX to one. The total current, used by both the Adept SmartController and the Adept
SmartVision MX, as well as any peripherals attached to them, must stay within the limits of
your 24 VDC power supply.

The 24 VDC power cable is user-supplied.

1. Connect a 24 VDC cable from XDC1 or XDC2 on the controller (whichever is not used)

to the 24 VDC connector on the Adept SmartVision MX industrial PC.

2. Follow the instructions in the previous section for connecting VDC to the Adept

SmartVision MX industrial PC.
