Attach a knob on the Base where shown to serve
as a handle. Insert a 1-1/4" bolt (HB040) thru the slot
in the Base, then a 5/8" spacer (BUSH004) and a knob
(5590) on the end of the bolt. For now, position the knob
at the far corner of the Base and tighten. See fig. 6.
Attach the two hold-ins on the Base. Insert a 1-1/4"
bolt (HB040) thru each slot in the base, then a 5/8" spacer
(BUSH004), a 1/8" spacer (BUSH001), a brass washer (WB002)
and a ratchet handle (5860) on the end of each bolt. The hold-
ins are positioned against the work to help hold it against the
Fence when cutting, but can be removed if necessary. See fig. 6.
Attach a knob to the top of the Fence to serve as
another handle. Insert a 1" bolt (HB030) in the T-slot
shown in the fence, then a 5/8" spacer (BUSH004) and a
knob (5590) on the end of the bolt. For now, position the
knob where desired on the Fence and tighten. See fig. 7.
Assemble the two Inboard Clamps (6305IC) according to
the directions that came with them. Attach the Inboard Clamps
to the top of the Fence where desired. You may need to remove/
replace one or both the 1-5/8" Ratchet Handles to position
the Inboard Clamps where needed on the Fence. See fig. 8.
Attach the two Angle Stops to the Base. Insert a 1-1/4"
bolt (HB040) thru each of the two the Bolt Knobs (5545) so
that the head of bolt fully inserted/buried in the knob. Place
a brass washer (WB002) and 5/8" spacer (BUSH004) on the
end of the bolt. These two assemblies serve as the Angle Stops
and are screwed into various holes in the Base to set the Fence
at angles of 0, 10, 15, 22-1/2, 30 & 45º. The Fence will pivot
in either direction for setting either acute angles (less than
90º) or obtuse angles (greater than 90º). See fig. 9 & 10.
You can also use a bevel gauge or protractor to
set the Fence to any angle up to approximately 60º. The
position and angle setting of the Fence on the Base will
affect the maximum width of stock that can be used.
